Hello, Explorer!
Welcome to Africa Centre – Imvelo.
This special place was created because I believe every child deserves the opportunity to discover the incredible history, cultures, languages, people, wildlife and stories that make Africa so extraordinary.
As you explore, I hope you ask lots of questions, discover amazing things and always remember that your story matters too.
Every explorer starts with curiosity. Every great discovery begins with one small step. And every story you discover becomes part of your own journey.
Welcome to your Africa.
With warm wishes,
Yolanda P. Vellem

Before every great explorer begins, they make a promise.
I promise to be curious.
I promise to ask questions.
I promise to respect every culture.
I promise to care for people, animals and nature.
I promise to learn with kindness.
I promise to share what I discover.
And I promise to leave Africa a little better than I found it.
Your journey belongs to you.
